The Faculty of Agriculture USU shares information about Export Webseries BARANTIN Episode #6, themed “Exploring: West Sumatra’s Jengkol Reaches the Global Market,” which discusses the potential, opportunities, and challenges of exporting jengkol as an Indonesian agricultural commodity to international markets.
The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), shares information about Export Webseries BARANTIN Episode #6, which will feature the theme “Exploring: West Sumatra’s Jengkol Reaches the Global Market.”
The event will discuss the potential of West Sumatra’s jengkol as an agricultural commodity with opportunities to enter international markets. In addition to exploring export opportunities, the discussion will cover various aspects of plant quarantine, trade, and jengkol business development to help the commodity meet international requirements and enhance its competitiveness in the global market.
The webseries will feature speakers from government institutions, quarantine authorities, and the business sector, namely Dr. Wisnu Wasisa Putra (Head of PPSDMKHIT), Dr. Abdul Rahman, S.P., M.P. (Director of Plant Quarantine Measures), RM Ende Dezeanto, S.St.Pi. (Head of the West Sumatra Quarantine Office), Novrial, S.E., M.A.Ak. (Head of the West Sumatra Provincial Industry and Trade Office), and Ilham (Jengkol SME entrepreneur).
