MSP USU Collaborates with Yeah Foundation and BRIN Researchers to Unveil Aquatic Biodiversity in the Baharu Estuary The Aquatic Resources Management (MSP) Study Program of FP USU, in collaboration with the Yeah Foundation and BRIN researchers, conducted aquatic biodiversity research in the Baharu Estuary. This initiative engages students in research-based learning to support sustainable aquatic ecosystem management, directly aligning with SDG 4, SDG 14, and SDG 17. 26 October 2026

Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Students of USU Study Palm Oil Production Chain through Field Visit to PTPN IV Regional II Adolina Unit Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering students of USU conducted a field trip to PTPN IV Regional II Adolina Plantation and Mill Unit to study the palm oil production chain, ranging from cultivation to processing. This activity strengthens students' practical understanding while supporting SDGs 4, 8, 9, and 12. 22 October 2026

Master's Program in Animal Science USU Holds Simple Ruminant Feed Formulation Training for Livestock Farmers and Students The Master's Program in Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture USU, held a simple ruminant feed formulation training on October 17, 2026, at the DH Penny Building FP USU. Attended by 39 participants consisting of livestock farmers, students, and lecturers, this event aimed to enhance understanding of proper, efficient, and nutritionally suitable ration formulation through the utilization of local feed ingredients as well as collaboration between academics and industry practitioners. 22 October 2026

Agrotechnology Internship Students of FP USU Support Soybean Development Study at Sarang Giting Plantation, PTPN IV Regional I Students from the Undergraduate Program in Agrotechnology FP USU carried out an internship at Sarang Giting Plantation, PTPN IV Regional I, in a feasibility study for a pre-commercial pilot project on soybean development in oil palm replanting areas. This activity aims to study the potential of plantation land utilization for food crops while enhancing student competence through field experience and collaboration between higher education and industry. This activity supports the achievement of SDG 2, SDG 8, and SDG 17. 22 October 2026

MSP USU Participates in Quality Control of Marine and Fishery Products in Medan City Lecturers from the Aquatic Resources Management (MSP) Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture USU, participated in quality control activities for marine and fishery products in Medan City on October 20–21, 2026. This activity involved various relevant agencies to ensure the quality, safety, and suitability of fishery products circulating in the community, while supporting the provision of healthy and sustainable food. 22 October 2026
