The AQUACOASTMARINE Journal (Journal of Aquatic and Fisheries Sciences), managed by the Aquatic Resources Management Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, has achieved national accreditation at SINTA 2 (Science and Technology Index) level as a newly accredited journal. This achievement was determined through the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology Number 2/C/C3/KPT/2026 concerning the New Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals for Period 2 of 2025 Rank 1 and 2.

The Agribusiness Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, has officially achieved Excellent Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) based on Decree Number 292/SK/BAN-PT/Ak/S/II/2026, valid from February 24, 2026, to February 24, 2031.

The Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), underwent a National Accreditation On-Site Assessment conducted by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) on Friday, 13 February 2026, as part of its quality enhancement efforts and commitment toward achieving superior accreditation. The assessment, held at the Main Building Meeting Room of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, involved two BAN-PT assessors who carried out clarification, verification, and validation of program data and performance.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), in collaboration with Hai Sawit Indonesia, held the “Sawit Academy” on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Soeratman Hall. Carrying the theme “Palm Oil in Daily Life: Inviting the Younger Generation to Understand the Role of Palm Oil in Everyday Living,” the event marked an important momentum in strengthening synergy between academia and industry to enhance literacy and broaden students’ perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of the palm oil industry.

The Faculty of Agriculture of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), in collaboration with the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia for North Sumatra Province, strengthened synergy in supporting food security and regional economic stability through a public lecture themed “Bank Indonesia’s Synergy in Supporting Asta Cita: Building Food Security and Farmers’ Welfare through Agricultural Modernization and Downstreaming,” held at the Suratman Hall of FP USU on Monday (09/02).
