News SDGs 4 SDGs Achievement Students Activities Students Affair
Agrotechnology Student of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara Achieves Outstanding Success at National and International Taekwondo Championships in 2026 Another remarkable achievement has been earned by Firman Frananta Sebayang, a student of the Agrotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), who won two gold medals at the 2026 Malaysia Open Taekwondo Championship, as well as one bronze and one silver medal at two national Taekwondo championships throughout 2026. These accomplishments reflect the dedication and determination of Faculty of Agriculture students in bringing pride to their alma mater. 08 July 2026

Novriani Tarigan Earns Doctoral Degree at the Faculty of Agriculture USU with Research on Tinuktuk Beverage The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), has once again graduated a new doctoral candidate through the open doctoral promotion examination of Novriani Tarigan on 22 June 2026. Through her dissertation on the development of Tinuktuk beverage and its effects on health, Novriani successfully earned the title of Doctor (Dr.) with the distinction of Very Satisfactory. This research is expected to contribute to the advancement of knowledge, particularly in the fields of food technology and health. 24 June 2026

FP USU Welcomes UniSZA Malaysia Students in International Community Service Program The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received a delegation of students from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia, as part of the implementation of an international community service program in Cempa Village, Langkat Regency. This activity is part of strengthening international cooperation through collaborative community empowerment based on fisheries, livestock, and agriculture to support the realization of a sustainable, flood-resilient village. This program is also expected to strengthen the USU–UniSZA partnership and expand international service and research networks. 24 June 2026
