Banda Aceh, October 8, 2026 — The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), has once again achieved a notable accomplishment at the 8th International Conference on Agriculture and Agroindustry (ICAGRI), organized by Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) in Banda Aceh on October 7–8, 2026.

Vira Irma Sari, S.P., M.Si., a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, USU, was selected as one of the Favorite Presenters at the conference. This recognition was awarded to presenters who delivered engaging presentations and fostered positive audience engagement during their sessions.

At the conference, Vira presented a paper entitled “Dark Septate Endophyte as Biostimulants for Oil Palm Seedlings: Mechanisms of Root Colonization, Growth Promotion, and Stress Resilience.” The research explored the potential of dark septate endophytes as biostimulants for oil palm seedlings, particularly in supporting root colonization, plant growth, and resilience under stressful conditions.

Vira's presentation not only highlighted the scientific substance of the research but was also supported by an engaging, informative, and communicative PowerPoint presentation. Her confident and interactive delivery, along with her ability to capture the audience's attention, earned positive responses from conference participants.

In recognition of her presentation, Vira received Favorite Presenter recognition and a certificate of appreciation from the organizers of the 8th ICAGRI.

This achievement is a source of pride for the Faculty of Agriculture USU and highlights the importance of scientific communication in disseminating research findings and academic studies.
