FP USU Lecturers Empower BUMDes Bangun Mandiri in Bekiung Village through Livestock-Waste-Based Biogas Technology The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), through the Agribusiness, Agrotechnology, and Animal Science Study Programs, has implemented a community empowerment program in Bekiung Village, Langkat Regency. The program transforms cattle manure into renewable energy in the form of biogas and organic fertilizer while providing training and assistance to support sustainable community management. The initiative contributes to energy independence, environmentally friendly agriculture, and the achievement of SDGs 7, 8, and 12. 21 August 2026

PKKMB Faculty of Agriculture USU 2026: Bank Indonesia Encourages Young Generation to Drive the Transformation of Future Agriculture Deputy Director of the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia for North Sumatra Province, Abdul Khalim, provided orientation to new students of the Faculty of Agriculture USU during PKKMB 2026 with the theme “Agriculture is the Future.” The session emphasized the importance of collaboration, mastery of technology and data, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the role of the younger generation in creating a competitive and sustainable agricultural sector. The activity also supports the achievement of the SDGs, particularly SDG 2, SDG 4, SDG 8, SDG 9, and SDG 17. 20 August 2026
