The Learning Outside the Study Program (PLPS) program brought students of the Undergraduate Program in Agrotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), closer to the research and development environment of oil palm at the Palm Oil Research Center (PPKS), Medan.
Through this internship activity, students gained direct experience in understanding various aspects of research, development, and the application of technology to oil palm commodities. The activity provided opportunities for students to connect the knowledge acquired during their studies with practical applications and real activities in a research environment.
Direct involvement at PPKS also enriched students' skills and experience while broadening their understanding of the application of agricultural science and technology in the professional world. This experience formed part of the learning process that supports students' readiness to face the dynamics of the workforce in the agricultural sector.
Learning directly, developing skills, and broadening experience to become competent and adaptive agricultural professionals.
