In commemoration of Santri Day 2025, the Forum for Communication between Universities and Islamic Boarding Schools of North Sumatra (FK-PKPPS), in collaboration with several universities, will hold a National Seminar themed “The Role of Higher Education in Improving the Quality of Islamic Boarding Schools in North Sumatra” on Saturday, October 25, 2025, via Zoom Meeting.

In commemoration of Santri Day 2025, the Forum for Communication between Universities and Islamic Boarding Schools of North Sumatra (FK-PKPPS) invites academics, lecturers, students, and the public to participate in the National Seminar titled “The Role of Higher Education in Improving the Quality of Islamic Boarding Schools in North Sumatra.”

The seminar features speakers from various universities in North Sumatra, including:

  • Prof. Dr. Ir. M. Idris, MP. (Head of Environmental Research Center, UIN)

  • Dr. Diapari Siregar (Vice Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, UISU)

  • Dr. Ir. Ma’ruf Tafsin, M.Si., IPM. (Head of Undergraduate Program in Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, USU)

  • Prof. Dr. Ir. Wan Afriani Barus, MP. (Vice Dean I, Faculty of Agriculture, UMSU)

 

The event will also include opening remarks from:

  • Dr. Muksin Batubara, M.Pd. (Head of Islamic Religious and Education Division, North Sumatra Provincial Office)

  • Dr. Bukhori Pasha, M.Pd. (Chairperson of DPW PKPPS)

Dr. Benny Hidayat, S.P., M.P. (Lecturer, Faculty of Agriculture, USU)
