The 2026 Berdikari Partnership Catalyst Program returns through research funding schemes managed by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) to accelerate the utilization of research, development, assessment, and application of science and technology, as well as innovation, to deliver tangible benefits to society.
The program is developed through three main schemes: MANDALA, SKALA+, and SAINTEK NUSANTARA. Each scheme focuses on addressing strategic regional challenges, expanding the utilization of research outcomes, and developing Nusantara's local knowledge systems into sustainable policy and technological solutions.
As part of introducing the program, socialization sessions will be held to provide an understanding of each scheme's focus, implementation mechanisms, and funding opportunities available to researchers and relevant stakeholders.

Getting to Know the Three Berdikari Program Schemes
1. MANDALA Scheme
The MANDALA Scheme focuses on tactical and responsive interventions to address strategic regional challenges aligned with national priorities through the utilization of science and technology. This scheme prioritizes joint problem formulation by research teams and regional governments, the establishment of specific and measurable targets, and the application of ready-to-use technological solutions to address regional development needs.
2. SKALA+ Scheme
The SKALA+ Scheme aims to expand economic impact through the utilization and scaling up of existing research, development, assessment, and application (litbangjirap) outcomes that have demonstrated initial use. This scheme encourages broader implementation of research outcomes, measurable performance improvements, sustainable adoption, and the readiness of solutions for expansion and replication.
3. SAINTEK NUSANTARA Scheme
The SAINTEK NUSANTARA Scheme promotes transdisciplinary research based on Science and Technology Studies (STS) to recontextualize Nusantara's local knowledge systems into appropriate technological and policy solutions. This approach is intended to produce self-reliant and inclusive solutions that preserve ecosystem sustainability and deliver tangible benefits to society.
