The USU Faculty of Agriculture offers active students the opportunity to compete in the Agristart Campus Challenge 2025, an innovative agribusiness plan competition with free registration until September 20, 2025.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), in collaboration with Yayasan Agrisustineri and Corteva, invites students to participate in the Agristart Campus Challenge 2025, a competition for developing business plans in agriculture.

This competition is open to active USU Faculty of Agriculture students from at least the 5th semester, in teams of 3–5 members. Team members do not have to come from the same department, but each participant may only join one team and cannot change members after registration is completed. Each team may only submit one proposal that must be original, never previously won similar competitions, and not infringe on copyrights or patents of others.

 

Competition Subthemes:

  • Healthy Crops, Healthy Communities – Agriculture to support community nutrition and health.

  • Green & Smart Farming – Climate-resilient, technology-based, and environmentally friendly agriculture.

  • Gender-responsive Farming Tools & Technology – Inclusive and gender-responsive agricultural solutions.

Participant Benefits:

  • Mentoring sessions with agricultural academics.

  • Certificates signed by Corteva and YASI.

  • Inspirational seminars with industry practitioners, NGOs, and youth engaged in agriculture.
