The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara invites researchers, academics, professionals, practitioners, and students to participate in the 10th International Conference on Agriculture, Environment, and Food Security (AEFS 2026), which will be held in a hybrid format on 2 September 2026.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) invites researchers, academics, professionals, practitioners, and students from around the world to participate in the 10th International Conference on Agriculture, Environment, and Food Security (AEFS 2026), which will be held on 2 September 2026 in a hybrid format at the Digital Learning Center Building (DLCB), Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, Indonesia.

Under the theme "Synergizing Green Economy and Agro-Innovation to Enhance Food Security and Environmental Sustainability," AEFS 2026 serves as an international scientific forum that brings together researchers and practitioners to present research findings, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration in support of food security and environmental sustainability.

The conference will be officially opened with welcoming remarks by Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, and Dr. Rulianda Purnomo Wibowo, S.P., M.Ec., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

AEFS 2026 features three distinguished international keynote speakers:

• Prof. Kotaro Takayama from Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan, specializes in Agricultural and Biological Environmental Engineering.
• Prof. Brijesh Kumar Tiwari from Ashtown Food Research Centre & University College Dublin, Ireland, specializing in Sustainable Food Technologies.
• Dr. Sri Fajar Ayu, S.P., M.M., from Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia, specializing in Sustainable Agribusiness Management.

The conference will cover the following topics:

All accepted papers will be published in the IOP Conference Series, indexed by Scopus. In accordance with IOP Publishing policy, each author may publish a maximum of two (2) papers, either as the corresponding author or as a co-author.
