The Career Development Center (CDC) USU Guidance and Counseling Services are available for students and alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture USU to support competency development, career readiness, further study, and entrepreneurship. These services also support SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), provides information from the Directorate of Student Affairs and Alumni Affairs of Universitas Sumatera Utara regarding the Career Development Center (CDC) USU Guidance and Counseling Services for students and alumni.

These services aim to support competency development, career readiness, further study planning, and entrepreneurship development for students and alumni.

Available Services

  1. Career Guidance and Counseling
    Assisting students and alumni in identifying their potential, determining career paths, obtaining job vacancy information, preparing CVs, and preparing for job interviews.
  2. Further Study Guidance
    Providing assistance in selecting study programs and higher education institutions, obtaining information on domestic and international scholarships, and planning academic development.
  3. Entrepreneurship Guidance and Counseling
    Supporting the development of business ideas and potential, providing information on funding opportunities, business promotion, and understanding business legality aspects.

Guidance and Counseling Schedule

The services will be provided from September 21–30, 2026, from 14.00–16.00 WIB, according to the following schedule:

Monday, September 21, 2026: Entrepreneurship Guidance and Counseling
Tuesday, September 22, 2026: Career Guidance and Counseling
Wednesday, September 23, 2026: Further Study Guidance
Monday, September 28, 2026: Entrepreneurship Guidance and Counseling
Tuesday, September 29, 2026: Career Guidance and Counseling
Wednesday, September 30, 2026: Further Study Guidance

Students and alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture USU are expected to take advantage of the CDC services as a means of developing their potential, improving career readiness, planning further studies, and developing entrepreneurship opportunities.

These services also support SDG 4 (Quality Education) through competency development and study planning, as well as SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through improving career readiness and developing entrepreneurship.
