Seventh-semester students of the Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), undertook an Industry Internship at PTPN IV Regional II, Perbaungan, Serdang Bedagai Regency, from September 1 to the end of November 2026 to strengthen their competencies, experience, and readiness to enter the workforce.

The Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), conducted an Industry Internship for seventh-semester students at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (PTPN IV) Regional II, Perbaungan, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra.

The internship was conducted from September 1 to the end of November 2026 as part of efforts to provide direct learning experience in the industrial environment and enhance students’ competencies, knowledge, skills, and professionalism as preparation for entering the workforce.

This activity supports SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthening student competencies, experiential learning, and collaboration between higher education institutions and the industrial sector.

FP USU encourages students to continue taking advantage of various self-development opportunities, including internships, practical training, training programs, seminars, organizations, and other activities to broaden their experience, competencies, and professional networks.
