The Master’s and Undergraduate Programs in Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), open opportunities for students from Indonesia and abroad to join the Inclusive and Sustainable Palm Oil Summer Course 2025, an international program discussing key issues in the sustainable palm oil industry.

The Master’s and Undergraduate Programs in Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), have opened registration for the Inclusive and Sustainable Palm Oil Summer Course 2025.

 

The program will feature experts and practitioners in the palm oil industry who will discuss crucial issues such as inclusivity, traceability, deforestation, sustainable certification, the role of smallholders, and global market demand.

The Summer Course will be held in two sessions:

  • November 4–6, 2025 (Online Course)

  • November 9–15, 2025 (Offline Course)

 

Participants will also have the opportunity to visit palm oil plantations and processing factories, observe orangutan habitats, and take part in rafting activities.

Full scholarships (excluding round-trip transportation to and from the participants’ home regions) are available for 30 selected participants, consisting of 20 international students and 10 Indonesian students (undergraduate and postgraduate levels) who demonstrate strong enthusiasm and commitment to sustainable agribusiness.
