JAPFA, through STP (Suri Tani Pemuka), is opening job vacancies for the Pathogen Specialist position to be placed in Paciran and Pandeglang, in support of strengthening shrimp health systems and disease control in aquaculture areas.
JAPFA, through its business unit STP (Suri Tani Pemuka), is offering career opportunities for professionals to fill the position of Pathogen Specialist, to be stationed in Paciran and Pandeglang. This position plays a strategic role in supporting shrimp health management and disease control in shrimp farming areas.
The Pathogen Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance related to pathogen monitoring, prevention, and control, as well as strengthening surveillance systems and rapid response to disease outbreaks that affect shrimp health and the environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide expertise and technical assistance in implementing pathogen monitoring, prevention, and control programs in shrimp farming areas.
Support rapid response efforts to disease outbreaks and strengthen surveillance of priority pathogens.
Conduct technical supervision of SOP implementation for pathogen prevention and biosecurity, including sampling methods, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
Provide technical support and recommendations to production teams and relevant stakeholders.
Support the development of quality standards and the establishment of shrimp health laboratory networks.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s (S1) or Master’s (S2) degree in Microbiology, Fisheries, or a related field.
At least 2–3 years of work experience in a supervisory or managerial position in shrimp health or a related field.
Strong knowledge of shrimp health, disease epidemiology, surveillance systems, outbreak preparedness and response, including PCR techniques.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
