The Ministry of Environment/Environmental Control Agency (KLH/BPLH) has launched the World Lake Day 2026 Lake Conservation Innovation and Creativity Competition for high school and university students. Under the theme "Youth Concrete Actions for a Healthy Lake," the competition invites young people to share their ideas for lake conservation through essays and creative videos. Registration is open until 11 July 2026.
The Ministry of Environment/Environmental Control Agency (KLH/BPLH) invites Indonesia's younger generation to participate in the World Lake Day 2026 Lake Conservation Innovation and Creativity Competition.
Carrying the theme "Youth Concrete Actions for a Healthy Lake," the competition provides a platform for students to showcase creative ideas and tangible actions that contribute to lake conservation through essay writing and creative video production.
The competition is open to high school (or equivalent) students and university students (or equivalent) who are passionate about environmental conservation and eager to contribute to efforts to protect Indonesia's lakes.
Participant Requirements
Participants must be high school (or equivalent) or university students (or equivalent).
Entries must be submitted in teams of up to three members.
Each team is required to produce:
An essay presenting ideas or initiatives for lake conservation.
A creative video with a duration of 1–3 minutes.
The video must be uploaded to a public personal Instagram account and tag the following accounts:

@jaganadibumi
Participants are required to attend all scheduled activities related to the competition.
Participants must be willing to support lake conservation initiatives organized by the committee.
Competition Schedule
Registration: 20 June – 11 July 2026
Technical Meeting: 12 July 2026
Submission Deadline: 2 August 2026
Winners Announcement: 17 August 2026
World Lake Day 2026 Main Event: 27 August 2026
The winners will be invited to attend the World Lake Day 2026 Main Celebration, which will be held in Jakarta.
