Ir. Hot Setiado, M.S., born in Jakarta on December 17, 1959, is a lecturer in Agrotechnology with special expertise in plant breeding at the Universitas Sumatera Utara. His latest education is a Master's degree in Agronomy, completed at the Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) in 1991.
