Ir. Jonis Ginting, M.S., born in Karo on July 27, 1960, is a lecturer in Agrotechnology at the Universitas Sumatera Utara with expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). He completed his Master's degree in Soil Science at Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) in 1990.

As a lecturer specializing in EIA, Ir. Jonis Ginting has contributed significantly to understanding and managing environmental impacts arising from agricultural activities.
