Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S., born in Pematang Siantar on November 2, 1964, is an academic and leader in agribusiness. She earned her Bachelor of Agriculture degree from the Undergraduate Program in Agricultural Socio-Economics, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) in 1988 and continued her studies until she earned her Master's degree at the USU Master's Program in Regional and Rural Development in 1995. In 2004, Dr. Tavi Supriana obtained her Doctorate degree from the Department of Agricultural Economics, Graduate School, Institut Pertanian Bogor.

As a lecturer at the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Tavi Supriana has pursued her academic career in various positions, including Head of the Agribusiness Study Program, Head of the Agribusiness Master Study Program, and Vice Dean III for Research, Service, and Cooperation of the Faculty of Agriculture USU. Currently, she holds the position of Dean of the USU Faculty of Agriculture for the 2021-2026 period.

With her activity in professional organizations such as PERHEPI, ISEI, AAI, and ISSAAS, Prof. Dr. Tavi Supriana plays a role in developing agribusiness science at the national and international levels. As a prolific researcher, she has published 5 reference books with a focus on nonparametric statistics, socioeconomic research methods, rice consumer preference and willingness to pay, business cycle analysis in Indonesia, and macroeconomics. Her research grants and scientific publications reflect her interest in agricultural economics, especially in food and tubers.
