The 2024 Agriculture GROW (Green Revolution For Our World) event was successfully held by students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), batch 2023. With the theme “Gardening for the Soul”, the event took place on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The activities included a National Poster Competition, a National Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI-N), a National Seminar, a Workshop, and the distribution of moringa tree seeds to all faculties at Universitas Sumatera Utara. These activities were attended by students from various universities across Indonesia.

The National Seminar was moderated by Mrs. Nursa’adah, S.ST., M.Agr. (Lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, USU), with keynote speakers Prof. Dr. Ir. Yaya Hasanah, M.Si. (Secretary of the Agrotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, USU) and Mrs. Ir. Iovie R. Purnama (Head of the Production Division, UPTD BIH Gedung Johor, Food Security Agency, North Sumatra Province).

This event was led by Befan Riski Hutajulu along with students of the Faculty of Agriculture, USU, batch 2023. It is hoped that through this event, young people, especially students across Indonesia, will be better prepared to face global challenges, care about global warming, and address extreme climate changes, ultimately creating a positive impact for the future of Indonesia.
