The 15th Anniversary of the Aquatic Resources Management Study Program, USU Faculty of Agriculture, was celebrated with a public lecture and a series of events to strengthen inter-civitas relations. The theme “Blue Economy” emphasized mangrove conservation strategies and the development of coastal aquatic ecosystems.
The Aquatic Resources Management (MSP) Study Program, USU Faculty of Agriculture, held its 15th Anniversary celebration on October 22, 2024 at Soeratman Hall, USU Faculty of Agriculture. One of the objectives of organizing this activity is to strengthen the relationship between alumni, students, and lecturers.
The event was attended by Vice Dean I, Dr. Lisnawita, S.P., M.Si., as a representative of the FP USU deanate; Head of the MSP Study Program, Desrita, S.Pi., M.Si.; lecturers and students of the MSP Study Program; representatives of associations/UKM within the Faculty of Agriculture; as well as resource persons Ahmad Zulfani, S.Pi., and Hasbi Husaini, S.Pi.
The anniversary celebration was opened with a warm welcome from Vice Dean I of FP USU, followed by cutting tumpeng. To add insight to the MSP students who attended, the anniversary celebration was also filled with a public lecture entitled “Blue Economy as a Strategy for Students and Coastal Communities in Developing Coastal Aquatic Ecosystems and Efforts to Improve Mangrove Conservation.” This public lecture was delivered by experienced speakers in their fields, namely Ahmad Zulfani, S.Pi., and Hasbi Husaini, S.Pi., who are also alumni of the MSP Study Program.
The anniversary event was closed with a series of entertainment events and a group photo session, which is expected to increase the intimacy of the entire academic community in attendance.
