Medan – FP USU: The Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency launched the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) for the first time in 2017 to facilitate the data collection, mapping, and performance measurement of research results conducted by researchers in Indonesia. Currently, more than 200,000 authors from higher education institutions and research and development agencies across Indonesia have registered. Therefore, the Scientific Writing and Intellectual Property Innovation Institute of Universitas Sumatera Utara organized a mentoring session for SINTA Data Updating, held at the DH Penny Building of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
The speakers for this visitation activity included Dr. Erna Budhiarti Nababan, M.IT. (FASILKOMTI - Information Technology) and Badruts Tsani (Information Systems Center), accompanied by team members Delima Harahap and Nasriatul Umi. The event was opened with a speech from the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Collaboration at the Faculty of Agriculture, USU, who expressed hope that after this visitation, all faculty members would be able to update their data on SINTA, including: Scopus ID, Publons ID, and Garuda ID, and subsequently synchronize them independently with Intellectual Property Data, Products and Prototypes, Revenue Generating (Intellectual Property, Products, and Prototypes), and Books.
