The USU Faculty of Agriculture welcomed Aliyah Rizq Farm Holdings PTE. LTD. to discuss the continuation and formalization of strategic partnerships in education, research, community service, and the livestock industry. This collaboration is expected to strengthen existing synergy and open up new cooperative opportunities.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), welcomed a visit from Aliyah Rizq Farm Holdings PTE. LTD. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Dean’s Meeting Room, FP USU. The meeting discussed the continuation and formalization of cooperation in education, research, and community service, including strategic collaboration in the livestock industry.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS (Dean of the USU Faculty of Agriculture), Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si. (Vice Dean III), Dr. Ir. Ma’ruf Tafsin, M.Si., IPM (Head of Animal Science Study Program), the Cooperation Subdivision Head, and academic staff. From Aliyah Rizq Farm, Dato Seri Ashraf Bakar (CEO of Aliyah Rizq Agriculture), Steven Muliya (General Manager), and Markus Bradford Doloksaribu (Langkat Branch Head) were present.

Aliyah Rizq Holdings Pte Ltd, originally a family-run venture in Mersing, Malaysia, has grown significantly since its establishment in 2015. Starting with just 2 hectares of land and 30 goats and sheep, the company now operates over 100 hectares of farmland in Desaru.

Through its subsidiary, Aliyah Rizq Farm Sdn Bhd, the company manages over 1,000 livestock including goats, sheep, horses, and poultry. It specializes in animal husbandry, breeding, trade, import-export, business development, branding and marketing, social entrepreneurship, and community development.

In her remarks, Dean Prof. Tavi Supriana expressed strong support for the partnership plan.

“I warmly welcome this collaboration. Regarding the MoU and MoA, we will proceed after a review by the legal team at the Rector’s Office. We’ve already implemented several joint activities—guest lectures, internships, and some of our alumni now work there. This process is mostly about formalizing what we’ve already built,” she said.

Dr. Ma’ruf emphasized FP USU’s commitment to strengthening existing collaborations while exploring new opportunities.

“We will formalize the cooperation in writing. Previously, we worked together on internship programs and other activities. Moving forward, we are open to exploring collaboration in agribusiness as well,” he said.

It is hoped that this partnership plan can soon be realized and provide a positive contribution to both USU's Faculty of Agriculture and Aliyah Rizq Farm Holdings PTE. LTD.
