The Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) conducted the Doctoral Promotion Examination of Dhimas Wiratmoko (Student ID: 208104004) on Monday, 22 December 2025, at 10.00 WIB, held at the IMT GT Room, USU.
During the examination, the promovendus defended a dissertation entitled “Implementation of Precision Agriculture through the Development of Fertilization Recommendations for Oil Palm Crops Based on Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing Technology.” This research highlights the application of precision agriculture by utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing technology to produce more accurate, efficient, and sustainable fertilization recommendations for oil palm commodities.
The Doctoral Promotion Examination was chaired by Prof. Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.H., as the Chair of the Examination Board as well as Vice Rector I of Universitas Sumatera Utara. Serving as the promoter and examination team were Prof. T. Sabrina, Ph.D. (Promoter), Prof. Budiman Minasny, Ph.D. (Co-Promoter), Prof. Zulkifli Nasution, Ph.D. (Co-Promoter), Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf, M.S. (Examiner), Dr. Retnadi Heru Jatmiko from Universitas Gadjah Mada (Examiner), and Dr. Achmad Siddik Thoha, S.Hut., M.Hut.
The academic community of Universitas Sumatera Utara extends its congratulations and appreciation to Dhimas Wiratmoko on the successful completion of the Doctoral Promotion Examination. It is hoped that this academic achievement will make a tangible contribution to the advancement of knowledge, particularly in the field of precision agriculture, and bring broad benefits to society and the national agricultural sector.
