PT. Agro Sindo Internasional and the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, discussed the MoA on building an Integrated Goat and Sheep Farming Facility to support the Animal Husbandry Program. This collaboration aims to benefit both parties and academic development at USU.

On Friday, January 17, 2025, a meeting was held between PT. Agro Sindo Internasional, the Asset Bureau team of Universitas Sumatera Utara, and the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, in the Faculty of Agriculture Dean's Meeting Room. This meeting aimed to discuss the continuation of the MoA between PT. Agro Sindo Internasional and the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si., the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Ir. Mar'ruf Tafsin, M.Si., IPM., Head of the Undergraduate Animal Husbandry Program, and the Asset Bureau team of Universitas Sumatera Utara. Meanwhile, representatives from PT. Agro Sindo Internasional included Benedictus Bobby Chrisenta (Chief Operating Officer) and Alween Ong (Chief Commercial Officer).

 

The discussions focused on drafting a Cooperation Agreement regarding the construction of an Integrated Goat and Sheep Farming Facility (Farmstead) and utilizing the farming outputs to support the development of the Animal Husbandry Program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. This initiative also aims to assist with the operational funding of the Farmstead.

The scope of this collaboration includes:

  • Preliminary preparations

  • Construction preparations

  • Construction implementation

  • Handover of the "Farmstead"

It is hoped that this collaboration will bring positive benefits to the company, Universitas Sumatera Utara, the Faculty of Agriculture, and especially the development of the Animal Husbandry Program.
