The Doctoral Promotion Exam (Open Defense) for Rijanto Hutasoit, a student in the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Science at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, was held on October 23, 2024, in the IMT-GT Room at USU. His dissertation was titled "Adaptation Test of Four Mutant Genotypes (M2) of Indigofera zollingeriana Induced by Gamma Radiation on Saline Soils."
The exam was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS., and attended by Prof. Ir. Edison Purba, Ph.D. (Promotor), Ir. Simon Petrus Ginting, M.Sc., Ph.D. (Co-Promotor), Dr. Ir. Nevy Diana Hanafi, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM. (Co-Promotor), Prof. Dr. Diana Sofia Hanafiah, S.P., M.P. (External Examiner), Dr. Nini Rahmawati, S.P., M.Si. (External Examiner), and Prof. Dr. Ir. Panca Dewi M. Hara Karti, M.S. (External Examiner).
Rijanto, currently serving as a Junior Expert Researcher in forage crops at BRIN, is the first graduate from the livestock specialization, one of seven specializations offered in the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Science.
Congratulations to Rijanto Hutasoit for successfully completing his Doctoral Promotion Exam. May this Dr. title bring greater contributions to advancing knowledge and society, particularly in improving feed availability to support livestock productivity.
