The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Doctoral Promotion Examination for Dini Julia Sari Siregar, a doctoral student in the Agricultural Sciences Doctoral Program, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the IMT GT Room, USU Rectorate Building.
On this occasion, Dini Julia Sari Siregar presented her dissertation entitled:
"The Potential of Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) from Fly Larvae (Hermetia illucens) as a Probiotic Alternative to Antibiotic Growth Promoters (AGP) in Broiler Chickens."
The session was chaired by the USU Vice-Rector IV, Prof. Dr. Drs. Opim Salim Sitompul, M.Sc.
Also in attendance were her promoters and examiners: Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si (Promoter), Dr. Ir. Ma’ruf Tafsin, S.Pt, M.Si, IPM (Co-Promoter), Prof. Dr. Ir. Dwi Suryanto, M.Sc (Co-Promoter), Prof. Dr. Erman Munir, M.Sc (Examiner), Prof. Dr. Ir. Yunilas, M.P (Examiner), and Prof. Nuraini from Universitas Andalas (UNAND) as the external examiner.
The defense concluded with a highly satisfactory result, as Dini Julia Sari Siregar was officially declared passed with distinction. Congratulations on this achievement. May the doctoral degree obtained contribute meaningfully to the advancement of science and the welfare of society.
