The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held another Doctoral Promotion Examination on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM WIB, in a hybrid format at the IMT-GT Room, USU Rectorate Building. This was a proud milestone for Octanina Sari Br Sijabat, who successfully defended her dissertation titled:
“Refugia Plants as Microhabitats for the Predator of Pteroma pendula (Lepidoptera: Psychidae), a Pest of Oil Palm Crops.”
The session was chaired by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS, and supported by the advisory team: Prof. Ir. Edison Purba, Ph.D. (Promoter), Prof. Dr. Ir. Marheni, M.P. (Co-Promoter), and Dr. Nini Rahmawati, S.P., M.Si. (Co-Promoter).
The examiners included Prof. Dr. Ir. Darma Bakti, MS, Drs. Lamek Marpaung, M.Phil., Ph.D., and Prof. Ir. Edhi Martono, M.Sc., Ph.D. from Universitas Gadjah Mada.
The USU Faculty of Agriculture congratulates Dr. Octanina Sari Br Sijabat on her outstanding academic achievement. May her research contribute meaningfully to the advancement of sustainable agriculture and the welfare of society.
