The Faculty of Agriculture of Universitas Graha Nusantara (UGN) and the Faculty of Agriculture of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to strengthen and implement academic collaboration at the faculty and study program levels. The signing took place at the Dean’s Meeting Room of the Faculty of Agriculture USU on Thursday (29 January 2026) and marked a strategic step in the development of education, research, and community service.

The Faculty of Agriculture of Universitas Graha Nusantara (UGN) and the Faculty of Agriculture of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) as a strategic initiative to strengthen academic collaboration. The signing ceremony was held at the Dean’s Meeting Room, Faculty of Agriculture USU, on Thursday, 29 January 2026.

 

The event was attended by the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si.; the Secretary of the Undergraduate Program in Animal Science, Ir. Achmad Sadeli, S.Pt., M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN Eng.; the Head of the Subdivision for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation, Yustika Venawati; as well as members of the Dean’s Expert Staff.


From the Faculty of Agriculture UGN, attendees included the Dean, Dr. Angelia Utari Harahap, S.Pt., M.P.; the Vice Dean I; the Vice Dean II; the Head of the Agribusiness Study Program; the Head of the Animal Science Study Program; and the Heads of Laboratories and Field Units.

In her remarks, the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Agriculture UGN stated that the visit was a follow-up to the institutional cooperation between UGN and USU, which is expected to be implemented concretely at the study program level.'

 

“Our purpose in visiting is to follow up on the cooperation between UGN and USU. At the faculty level, implementation will be encouraged through study programs. Currently, the Faculty of Agriculture UGN has three study programs, namely Agrotechnology, Agribusiness, and Animal Science,” she explained.

 

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UGN, Dr. Angelia Utari Harahap, emphasized her institution’s commitment to utilizing this collaboration as a platform for learning and improving academic quality.

 

Responding to this, the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si., expressed strong support for the partnership, stating that the presence of three relevant study programs provides ample space for joint implementation. She emphasized that memoranda without implementation hold little value and affirmed USU’s readiness to collaborate in the fields of education, research, and community service in the future.
