The supervision of student Field Work Practice (PKL) at PTPN IV Regional II Bah Butong Tea Plantation Unit was completed on July 28, 2026. The activity was part of monitoring the implementation of PKL while strengthening students’ learning experiences through direct engagement in the workplace and industry. The activity also supported the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through experiential learning that integrates academic knowledge with practical experience in the field.

The supervision was conducted by the Field Supervisor (DPL), Rouzatul Nafisah, S.P., M.Si., with PTPN IV Regional II Bah Butong Tea Plantation Unit serving as the partner. The supervision aimed to ensure that the PKL was implemented in accordance with the established learning outcomes and competencies, while also monitoring students’ progress throughout their field activities. Through this activity, students had the opportunity to develop technical skills, communication, teamwork, discipline, and adaptability in a professional environment.

During the supervision, the DPL monitored students’ activities, discussed their experiences and challenges during the PKL, and gained an overview of the learning process taking place in the workplace. The supervision also served as a means of strengthening communication and coordination between the higher education institution and its partner. This collaboration is aligned with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through the strengthening of partnerships between higher education institutions and industry to support student learning and competency development.

The PKL at PTPN IV Regional II Bah Butong Tea Plantation Unit provided students with opportunities to gain practical experience and develop a more concrete understanding of various activities involved in tea plantation management. This experience is expected to enhance students’ readiness to enter the professional world in terms of knowledge, skills, and work attitudes. This is aligned with SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, particularly in supporting the development of skills and work readiness among young people.

Through supervision, higher education institutions can ensure that the work experience gained by students remains focused and relevant to the established learning outcomes. Interaction among the DPL, students, and industry partners is an important part of creating a continuous learning process while strengthening institutional relationships between higher education and industry.

With the completion of the supervision on July 28, 2026, the student PKL conducted in collaboration with PTPN IV Regional II Bah Butong Tea Plantation Unit is expected to contribute positively to the improvement of students’ competencies and work readiness. The activity also represents the contribution of higher education institutions to supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through practice-based learning and close collaboration with industry.
