The field trip of batch 2022 of the Undergraduate Aquatic Resources Management Study Program was held at the Class I Medan II Belawan Fish Quarantine and Fishery Product Quality Control Station (SKIPM) on Friday, May 17, 2024. This field trip activity was carried out as one of the learning methods in the Aquatic Microbiology course, which was accompanied by the lecturers of the course, namely Mrs. Astrid Fauzia Dewinta, S.St.Pi., M.Si and Mr. Harya Bimasuci W., S.Kel., M.Sc. along with the practicum assistant, Khairul Imam.
This activity was welcomed directly by Plt. Head of SKIPM, Mr. Oscar Daniel Butar-Butar, S.Pi., M.Si and laboratory analysts very well.
The output of this activity is that students observe, learn, and implement knowledge in the field based on the knowledge that has been obtained by doing activities in the laboratory at SKIPM MEDAN II. Students record, observe, and introduce laboratory equipment, as well as procedures for using equipment in standard and accredited laboratories directed by the person in charge of each laboratory, such as the Microbiology Laboratory, Organoleptic Laboratory (Sensory), Media Making Laboratory, E. coli Testing Laboratory, Vibrio Testing Laboratory, and Histamine and Formalin Testing Laboratory.
