Field trip activities for the 2021 and 2022 batches have been carried out at Mangrove Beach, Kampung Nipah, Serdang Bedagai on February 25, 2024, Undergraduate Program in Aquatic Resources Management, Faculty of Agriculture, USU. This field trip was carried out concerning the Aquatic Biological Resources and Fisheries Biology and Physiology of Aquatic Animals courses accompanied by the course lecturers, Mrs. Vindy Rilani Manurung, S.Pi., M.P and Mrs. Julia Syahriani Hasibuan, S.Pi., M.P along with practicum assistants, Urmila Minfi, Sherina Melody, Tiur, and Yunelsa.

 

The output of the activity is Project-Based Learning, which collects and integrates knowledge based on experience in the field with real activities. Students observed mangrove ecosystems, estuaries, beaches, and aquatic biota. They sampled aquatic biota using fishing rods, rods, and bubu. The catches were diverse, namely shellfish, crabs, fish, belangkas, and jellyfish. They also identified mangrove species.
