Located in the 2nd-floor meeting room of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Payakumbuh on Tuesday 30 November 2021.
The leaders of the Faculty of Agriculture who attended the event were the Dean of FP USU, Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS, Vice Dean III FP USU Prof. Dr. Elisa Julianti, the Heads of Study Programmes in FP USU, and representatives from the Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Payakumbuh including Sentot Wahono, S.P., M.Si (Head of Food Crop Cultivation Department), Ir. Yun Sondang, M.P. (Head of Seed Technology Study Program), Dr. Wiwik Hardaningsih, S.P., M.P. (Head of Seed Technology Lab), Ir. Ngakumalem Br. Sembiring, M.P., and Trisia Wulantika, S.P., M.P..
This MoA is a cooperation plan for the Seed Technology Study Program in the context of strengthening the Department of Food Crop Cultivation of Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Payakumbuh, and it is hoped that in the future cooperation can develop along with the implementation of the MBKM program for both parties. Established in 1989, Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Payakumbuh (POLITANI PAYAKUMBUH) is one of the public vocational higher education institutions in West Sumatra Province, located in Lima Puluh Kota Regency which provides education mainly in the field of agricultural science. In 2019, Politani Payakumbuh was ranked 5th best Polytechnic in Indonesia by Kemenristekdikti.
