The 1975 alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), officially opened the Golden Fiesta 50-Year Reunion on April 21, 2025, at the Faculty of Agriculture USU.
The opening ceremony began with a durian seedling planting activity in the Faculty’s garden. The seedlings were symbolically handed over by Ir. Dharma Sebayang, Chair of the Reunion Committee, to the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture USU.
The reunion carried the theme: "Gathering, Reminiscing, Being Grateful, Being Patient, Sharing, and Being Helpful."
Prof. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, expressed great appreciation for the event initiated by the 1975 alumni, who continue to show their strong affection for their alma mater.
The opening event also featured a book launch by one of the 1975 alumni, Ir. H. Soekirman, and concluded with the send-off of alumni participants for the next series of reunion activities in Parapat. The Golden Fiesta Reunion will be held from April 21–23, with events taking place at the Faculty of Agriculture USU and in Parapat.
May this event serve as an inspiration for all alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture USU to always remember and cherish their alma mater.
