An online guest lecture on "Beekeeping Industry in Taiwan" was hosted by the Undergraduate Program in Agrotechnology at USU, featuring a speaker from National Pingtung University of Science and Technology.

On Friday, October 20, 2023, the Undergraduate Program in Agrotechnology at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a guest lecture themed "Beekeeping Industry in Taiwan." The lecture was conducted online and attended by 156 participants. The speaker for the event was Lekhnath Kafle, Ph.D., from the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology.


Dr. Nini Rahmawati, S.P., M.Si., as the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Agrotechnology, expressed her hope that this guest lecture would broaden the knowledge of students and lecturers in the field of beekeeping, particularly in Taiwan.


In his presentation, Lekhnath Kafle, Ph.D., explained that Taiwan has successfully streamlined honeybee farming processes using modern technology. One of the innovations includes technology for packaging and tracking honey authenticity with QR codes.
