On Thursday, October 19, 2023, the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Science at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a guest lecture with the theme "Soil and Carbon Saving Technologies of Agriculture and Nature Management" at the D.H. Penny Building, Faculty of Agriculture, USU. The speakers for this guest lecture were Prof. Ivan I. Vasenev (Head of the Ecology Department, Laboratory of Agroecological Monitoring, Ecosystem Modelling and Prediction (LAMP) at Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural) and Dr. Ade Irma Elvira, S.P., M.Sc. (Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia).


The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS., and attended by the Head and Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences, faculty members, and Master's and Doctoral students from the Faculty of Agriculture, USU.


At the end of the event, Prof. Ivan I. Vasenev offered opportunities for research collaboration to faculty members or students interested in the field of carbon storage technologies.
