The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held an in-person Eid al-Fitr halal bihalal for 1443 H on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. The event aimed to strengthen the ties of friendship among all the academic community of FP USU. This event, held at the Soeratman Hall, was the first in-person halal bihalal event after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The halal bihalal event was filled with various speeches and messages. The event began with a speech from the Head of Administration Dra. Sumeda Istati, M.Si., representing the staff, followed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Darma Bakti MS, representing the faculty advisory board, Dr. Ir. Ma'ruf Tafsin, M.Si., representing the faculty members, and concluded with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S. In her speech, she conveyed her apologies and the highest appreciation to the entire academic community of FP USU for their hard work during the pandemic. She also shared some plans for the upcoming work to be done.
The event continued with a traditional handshake, as halal bihalal is a moment for mutual forgiveness. The event ended with a communal lunch at the Soeratman Hall, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
