The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held the Handover Ceremony (Serah Terima Jabatan / Sertijab) of the Dean and Vice Deans from the 2021–2026 administration to the 2026–2031 administration in a solemn and collegial atmosphere on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Dean’s Meeting Room of the Faculty of Agriculture USU. The event was attended by members of both the incoming and outgoing leadership teams, heads of subdivisions, and the dean’s expert staff.
The event marked an important milestone in the continuity of leadership within the Faculty of Agriculture USU. For the 2026–2031 period, the leadership of the Faculty of Agriculture USU will be continued by:
Dean: Dr. Rulianda Purnomo Wibowo, S.P., M.Ec.
Vice Dean I: Dr. Nini Rahmawati, S.P., M.Si.
Vice Dean II: Prof. Luthfi Aziz Mahmud Siregar, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D.
Vice Dean III: Dr. Ir. Posma Mangasi Pintaria Marbun, MP.
In their remarks, the outgoing administration of the 2021–2026 period expressed appreciation and gratitude for the support of the entire academic community throughout their term of service. Various achievements and academic developments accomplished during their leadership are expected to serve as a strong foundation for the next administration.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture USU for the 2021–2026 period, stated, “I am optimistic about the leadership of the 2026–2031 administration in advancing the Faculty of Agriculture. This optimism is reflected in the various achievements and successes of the deanery team in supporting important programs, including national and international accreditation.”
Meanwhile, the incoming administration for the 2026–2031 period expressed its commitment to continuing and strengthening the faculty’s strategic programs, improving the quality of education, research, and community service, and enhancing the competitiveness of the Faculty of Agriculture USU at both national and international levels.
The handover ceremony also included the presentation of commemorative tokens to the outgoing 2021–2026 administration as a form of appreciation for their dedication, service, and integrity in developing and advancing the Faculty of Agriculture USU.
Through this event, it is hoped that stronger synergy will continue to grow among all elements of the faculty in realizing a leading and competitive Faculty of Agriculture.
