The PKL was conducted for one month, involving students in various activities and work processes relevant to the field of knowledge they studied during their academic program. Through this activity, students are expected to integrate the theoretical knowledge gained in the academic environment with real-world conditions and challenges in the workplace.

During the PKL, students received guidance from Ummi Maysaroh, S.Agr., M.Sc., the Field Work Practice Supervisor. This guidance was an important part of ensuring that the PKL activities were carried out in accordance with the learning objectives while providing students with an optimal learning experience.

PKL Supervision Conducted Online

As part of the monitoring and evaluation process, PKL supervision was conducted on July 27, 2026. The supervision was carried out online and attended by representatives of the partner institution, PTPN IV Regional II Berangir Plantation, PKL students, and the field supervisor.

The supervision served as a means of monitoring the progress of the PKL while gathering information about the students’ experiences at the partner institution. The activity included communication and evaluation regarding the implementation of activities, student involvement, learning outcomes, and various experiences gained during the PKL.

Through this supervision, the faculty and partner institution were able to ensure that the PKL continued to be implemented in accordance with the established objectives. In addition, communication among the university, students, and partner institution is expected to strengthen the existing partnership.

Supporting the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The implementation of PKL at PTPN IV Regional II Berangir Plantation is also connected to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The activity is particularly relevant to several SDGs, especially SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.

The connection to SDG 4 is reflected in experiential learning that enables students to gain knowledge, skills, and competencies through direct experience in the workplace. PKL is one form of learning that supports educational quality by connecting academic learning with practical needs in the field.

Meanwhile, its connection to SDG 8 is reflected in efforts to prepare students with the competencies and readiness needed to enter the workforce. The experience gained during PKL can help students understand workplace culture, develop professional skills, and recognize demands and opportunities in the world of work.

Going forward, similar activities are expected to continue to be developed as part of the university’s contribution to producing competent, adaptive, professional graduates who are prepared to face the challenges of the workplace.
