Congratulations to Prof. Luthfi Aziz Mahmud Siregar, Faculty of Agriculture USU, on being inaugurated as a Full Professor on October 26, 2023.

Congratulations to Prof. Luthfi Aziz Mahmud Siregar, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D., a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, on his remarkable achievement of being inaugurated as a Full Professor at Universitas Sumatera Utara on October 26, 2023.


Prof. Luthfi Aziz Mahmud Siregar is not only recognized as a dedicated lecturer but also serves as the Head of the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences and the Master's Program in Agrotechnology at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. His contributions to academia, particularly in the field of agriculture, have significantly advanced the development of knowledge and technology in this sector.


During the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Luthfi delivered a scientific speech titled "Large-Scale Plant Propagation In Vitro Through Temporary Immersion System (TIS) for Seedling and Biomass Availability." This topic highlights innovations in plant tissue culture techniques, which are crucial for supporting the sustainability of the agricultural sector. The Temporary Immersion System (TIS) discussed in his speech represents a significant advancement in ensuring the availability of high-quality seedlings and biomass on a large scale.  


This inauguration marks a new milestone for the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara and reflects the exceptional dedication and achievements of Prof. Luthfi in higher education.
