The Faculty of Agriculture USU's PKKMB for the 2022/2023 academic year lasted 3 days, featuring educational sessions and organizational introductions.

Medan – FP USU: The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara successfully conducted the New Student Orientation Program (Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru, PKKMB) for the 2022/2023 academic year from Monday to Wednesday, September 5–7, 2022. The event was officially opened by USU Rector, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., at the USU Mini Stadium through a symbolic Scarf Pinning Ceremony for new student representatives. The rector then handed over the new students of the Faculty of Agriculture to the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture to proceed with faculty-level activities.


On the first day, the PKKMB activities continued at the USU Student Hall. The event was hosted by two talented emcees, Teguh Azira Perkasa (2019 cohort, Animal Husbandry Program) and Adilla Syafira (2019 cohort, Agribusiness Program), who are outstanding students of the Faculty of Agriculture. They introduced the faculty leadership, including the dean, vice deans, and program coordinators.


The afternoon session featured university-level presentations. Dr. Rulianda Purnomo Wibowo, S.P., M.Ec., delivered a presentation on higher education in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and campus life in the new normal era. Ridho Fariha, S.Kom., introduced Eduroam and its application, while Dr. Ir. Ma'ruf Tafsin, M.Si., discussed Indonesia’s higher education system and learning at USU in the context of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka.


On the second day, the event began with a morning assembly attended by all participants and committees. Presentations were delivered by Roy Fachraby Ginting, S.H., M.Kn., on national identity and civic awareness, followed by Suri Mutia Siregar, S.Psi., M.Psi., on student character development and anti-bullying. Faculty presentations included introductions by Dean Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S., Vice Dean I Dr. Lisnawita, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean III Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si., and Vice Dean II Ir. Revandy Iskandar Muda Damanik, M.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D.


The third day featured presentations on environmental awareness, campus health, and anti-corruption (ZI WBK) by Dr. Nini Rahmawati, S.P., M.Si., and core values in the digital era by Lukman Adlin Harahap, S.TP., M.Si. A talk show on the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program followed, highlighting student experiences in teaching programs, student exchanges, and internships.


The event concluded with a mosaic formation activity, introductions to study programs, alumni, and student organizations (HMJ), leaving a lasting impression on the new students.
