Kaleb Sangatulo Lase is the first student to take a thesis examination in the Undergraduate Agrotechnology Program at the North Nias Campus of the Faculty of Agriculture, USU, and successfully earned a "Very Satisfactory" predicate.

The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) marked a historic moment with the first-ever thesis defense held for a student of the Undergraduate Program in Agrotechnology at the North Nias Campus. The defense took place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Agrotechnology Program Meeting Room.

The student, Kaleb Sangatulo Lase (Student ID 210310007), was the first to undertake the final undergraduate examination at the campus. Kaleb presented his research titled:
"The Relationship Between NPK Fertilizer and Dolomite Lime Dosages on Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) Yield on Peatland in North Nias Regency."

His thesis was supervised by Dr. Ir. Razali, M.P., and assessed by two examiners: Prof. Dr. Ir. Yaya Hasanah, M.Si. (Head Examiner) and Prof. Dr. Ir. Lisa Mawarni, M.P. (Examiner Member). Kaleb successfully defended his research and was declared graduated with the predicate "Very Satisfactory."

This achievement is expected to inspire other students of the Agrotechnology Program at USU's North Nias Campus to graduate on time. Kaleb’s success not only represents a personal academic milestone but also stands as a significant marker in advancing higher education in North Nias through the presence of the Faculty of Agriculture campus.
