The launching of the Biology and Aquaculture Laboratory Building and the Tractor Monument took place on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, led by Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si. (Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara) and Dr. Tavi Supriana, M.S. (Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture). The event, held at the Soeratman Hall of FP USU, was attended by vice rectors, the university secretary, vice deans of the Faculty of Agriculture, and members of the Faculty of Agriculture academic community.
The event began with a speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, who expressed his hopes that the renovation and construction of the building, laboratories, and other supporting facilities would inspire the academic community to further improve their performance. "With this enthusiasm, the university's tridharma, vision, mission, and goals of the Faculty of Agriculture can be realized. Moreover, our contribution to achieving the university's key performance indicators will also increase," he concluded.
The event continued with the signing of a commemorative plaque and a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Rector of USU and the Dean of FP USU. This was followed by a tour of the Biology and Aquaculture Laboratory Building and the Tractor Monument. The event, which ran from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, concluded with a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) between the Rector and the Faculty of Agriculture academic community on the theme "Adaptation of Tridharma Tasks."
