The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, extends its congratulations and appreciation to Prof. Ir. Diana Chalil, M.Si., Ph.D. for successfully obtaining research funding under the National Initiatives for Sustainable & Climate Smart Oil Palm Smallholders (NISCOPS) 2 program within the National Research Partner (NRP) Indonesia scheme in 2026.
This achievement reflects the strong commitment of the Faculty of Agriculture USU’s academic staff in contributing to the advancement of knowledge and addressing strategic national issues, particularly in supporting sustainable and climate-adaptive oil palm management.
Through the research to be conducted, it is expected to generate applicable innovations and deliver tangible impacts on improving the welfare of oil palm smallholders in Indonesia. Furthermore, this research is also anticipated to strengthen the role of academics in promoting environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural practices.
The Faculty of Agriculture USU continues to encourage its academic community to actively participate in various national and international research programs to support the development of an advanced and sustainable agricultural sector.
