Medan, September 7, 2026 — Students of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) once again achieved an outstanding accomplishment at the 2026 Indonesian Agricultural Student Innovation Week (PIMPI) organized by IPB. The Ora Iso Team successfully won 2nd Place in the Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) at PIMPI IPB 2026.

The Ora Iso Team is a cross-faculty student collaboration consisting of Ronny (221000142) from the Faculty of Public Health (FKM), M. Ghozi Muzakki (230305048) from the Faculty of Agriculture (FP), and Aisyah Tsani (230802058) from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA).

PIMPI 2026 carries the theme “Innovating Integrated Agriculture for Climate-Resilient Future” and features four subthemes: Smart and Sustainable Agricultural Technology, Food Security and Climate Adaptation, Circular Bioeconomy and Resource Optimization, and Community Empowerment and Inclusive Agricultural Development.

Organized by the Forum for Scientific Studies (Forces) of IPB, the event serves as a platform for students to develop scientific ideas and innovations to address various agricultural challenges, including food needs, resource limitations, and climate change.

The achievement of the Ora Iso Team demonstrates students’ ability to develop scientific ideas through collaboration across disciplines. Such collaboration plays an important role in building an educational ecosystem that encourages students’ creativity, competencies, and innovation.

This achievement is aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the development of students’ competencies and capacities, as well as SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration across faculties and academic disciplines.

Congratulations and best wishes to the Ora Iso Team on this achievement. May this accomplishment inspire the team to continue producing innovative scientific works and making positive contributions to sustainable development in Indonesia.
