The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has officially become a part of the University Network of Tropical Agriculture (UNTA) on August 8, 2023. This membership was marked by the signing of an MoU with UNTA at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang.


The universities included in UNTA are as follows:

  1. IPB University, Indonesia
  2. Kasetsart University, Thailand
  3. National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan
  4. Maejo University, Thailand
  5. Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia
  6. Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia
  7. Chiang Mai University, Thailand

  8. Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia


The meeting concluded with the agreement on four priority programs for UNTA:

  1. Summer Camps with specific topics from each UNTA member
  2. Joint Research
  3. Joint Conferences
  4. Student Mobility


We hope this collaboration will run smoothly and contribute to the advancement of all UNTA member universities.
