Medan – FP USU: The ProPakTani Goes To Campus USU Seminar: Food Security as the Foundation for Regional Development was held at the Student Arena of Universitas Sumatera Utara on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. The speakers at this event included: H. Gus Irawan Pasaribu, S.E., Ak., M.M., C.A., Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S., Muhammad Fadly Abdina, S.P., M.Si., and Muhammad Dava Warsyahdana, S.Agr., with the session moderated by Muhammad Khaliqi, S.P., M.Si.
This ProPakTani Goes To Campus event was the first seminar with a university organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia outside of Java Island, and was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si. “This collaboration can bridge opportunities for USU to advance significantly and achieve the university’s target of internationalization,” said the Rector.

The seminar was conducted in a hybrid format, attended by 350 students and faculty offline, as well as 300 students from Universitas Sumatera Utara and various private universities in North Sumatra, including: the Indonesian Palm Oil Technology Institute, Medan Agricultural Development Polytechnic (POLBANTAN), Universitas Tjut Nyak Dien, Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sumatera Utara, Universitas Asahan, Universitas Methodist Indonesia, Universitas HKBP Nomensen Medan, Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas, Universitas Labuhan Batu, Universitas Panca Budi, Universitas Prima Indonesia, Universitas Amir Hamzah, Universitas Medan Area, Universitas Al Azhar Medan, Universitas Quality, and Universitas Muslim Nusantara.
