The signing of a cooperation agreement between the USU Faculty of Agriculture and PT. Agrari was held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the DH Penny Building of the USU Faculty of Agriculture. This event was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS. Also attending this event were Vice Deans II and III of FP USU, Head of Study Program and Secretary of Study Program, Director of PT. Agrari and staff, lecturers, and students.
The ceremonial signing of this collaboration was also filled with public lectures. There were 2 topics of public lectures delivered at this event. The topic of the public lecture “Utilization of Land Monitoring Technology as an Effort to Adapt and Mitigate the Impact of Climate Change in Citrus Commodities” was delivered by Mr. Bayu Dwi Apri Nugroho, who is a technology expert staff at PT Agrari. The topic of the public lecture, “Progress of Citrus Agribusiness in North Sumatra,” was delivered by Mr. Robertus Theodore, as Director of PT Agrari.
Implementation of cooperation will also be carried out in the near future through the Internship and Certified Independent Study (MSIB) program.
Hopefully, in the future, there will be more implementations and collaborations that can be carried out between the USU Faculty of Agriculture and PT Agrari.
