Signing of Memorandum of Agreement between Regal Springs Indonesia (PT. Aqua Farm Nusantara) and USU Faculty of Agriculture
Regal Springs Indonesia (PT Aqua Farm Nusantara) emphasizes its commitment to one of the strategic steps taken, namely opening access to cooperation and collaboration with universities in Indonesia. This commitment was realized by Regal Springs Indonesia through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), which focuses on the development of education, research, and community service. The signing was represented by President Director of Regal Springs Indonesia, Rudolf Hoeffelman, and Vice Dean 3 of the USU Faculty of Agriculture for Cooperation, Research, and Service, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si, in Medan, Tuesday (04/06).
Hoeffelman said in his speech that this synergistic cooperation aligns with Regal Springs Indonesia's mission to develop human resources to improve the sustainable fishing industry.
"This memorandum of understanding is a strategic foundation for both parties. With the support of the USU Faculty of Agriculture, we are confident that we can achieve our common goals in advancing the fisheries and aquaculture sector," Hoeffelman explained.
Vice Dean 3 for Cooperation, Research, and Service of the USU Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si, added, "This cooperation is an important step in strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. We hope that this collaboration can make a real contribution to society and the environment."
For additional information, this Memorandum of Agreement covers several main aspects, including the development of human resources involving students and lecturers through various activities, such as knowledge-sharing programs, lecturer and student research, internships, public lectures, and mentoring, the development of sustainable integrated fisheries and aquaculture through joint research in the fields of aquaculture, product processing technology, fisheries waste and disease management, and environmental issues such as lake water quality and environmental emissions, as well as community service that can provide direct and indirect benefits.
