The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara signed a MoA and IA with the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Udayana, to enhance education, research, and community service, followed by a guest lecture on livestock integration in oil palm plantations.

Medan – FP USU: At Universitas Udayana, the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara attended an invitation from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Udayana, to carry out the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Implementation Agreement (IA) between the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry at Universitas Udayana (Tuesday, August 16, 2022). Additionally, an Implementation Agreement (IA) was signed between the Bachelor’s Program in Animal Husbandry and the Master’s Program in Animal Husbandry at Universitas Sumatera Utara and Universitas Udayana.


The leadership of the Faculty of Agriculture attending the MoA signing included the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Tavi Supriana, M.Si.; the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Collaboration, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si.; the Head of the Master’s Program in Animal Husbandry, Dr. Nevy Diana Hanafi, S.Pt., M.Si.; the Head of the Bachelor’s Program in Animal Husbandry, Dr. Ir. Ma'ruf Tafsin, M.Si.; and the Secretary of the Animal Husbandry Program, Ir. Achmad Sadeli, S.Pt., M.Sc., IPM. This cooperation is expected to enhance the implementation of education, research, and community service for faculty and students of the Animal Husbandry Program, in order to improve the quality of human resources within higher education institutions through collaboration with partner institutions in education, research, and community service.

 


After the signing ceremony, the event continued with a guest lecture on "Livestock Integration on Oil Palm Plantations." The speaker was Dr. Ir. Ma'ruf Tafsin, M.Si., the Head of the Animal Husbandry Program.
